The Ministry of Agriculture and Water allocated 570,000 euros to improve water infrastructure Archena (11/05/2009)

The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, and the mayor of Archena, Marcos Manuel Sanchez, today visited works in the southwest of the collector and the general line of drinking water, which have a total investment of 570,000 euros.

The collector works "improve the circulation of wastewater Archena, diverting a significant portion of the sewage flows directly without passing through the village", said the director.

This project will improve drainage of rain "by preventing flooding, as has been seen after the recent rains," said Cerda.

For this collector, who has had a budget of 368,000 euros, 935 meters have been installed large-diameter pipe, between 500-630 mm.

Moreover, the Minister of Agriculture and Water and the Mayor of Archena visited the works, already completed, general pipe potable water supply located in the Avenida Antońete Gálvez.

To do this, it has moved 950 meters of iron pipe, 200 mm in diameter.

Cerda said that these works "have made an essential improvement in the provision of potable water, and they have made an investment of 205,000 euros.

The counselor said "the role of infrastructure in the municipality which, whilst being underground, are a contribution to the improvement of public service, with a greater impact on quality of life of people."
