The PSOE said that "cuts Telefónica telephone and internet to the municipality for failure to pay" (14/03/2009)

Note sent by the PSOE Archena:

Tuesday March 10 Telefónica cut the phone, fax and the Internet in many municipal buildings, the reason is none other than the lack of payment to the City Council has yet to call, the debt amounts to € 30,000 have not been satisfied part of the municipal coffers, so directly as to any citizen who fails to pay its telephone bills to our City Council has considered defaulting cutting off the lines.

The cutting of telephone and Internet service affected many of our City services offered to citizens such as Casa de la Cultura, Municipal Library, Center for Women, Office of Tourism, Civil Protection Service and Youth Space.

Placed in contact with Telefónica and concerned about this situation we were informed that "as long as the debt is not paid could not restore the service."

This situation has to agree with the Municipal Group Socialist when we've reported on many occasions the bankruptcy of the City and the lack of payment to suppliers and companies.

Numerous cultural associations, sports ... can not perform their activities and to have them undermined by the lack of payment of City Hall.

The Municipal Socialist Group considered very serious economic situation that has caused Archena Mayor in our city coffers due solely to poor management, he being the sole responsibility of the budgets of the City, as the Mayor did not even let the Councillor for Finance to exercise its functions and apparel.

This is not the first time this has happened in our City as some companies have had to resort to a court order to collect, plus many suppliers come daily to the City to collect and fail.
