In a manifesto written on the occasion of the celebration of European Car Free Day, young socialists stressed the need for citizens' concern for the environment is translated into new behaviors and attitudes in the use of transport, but have stressed that that change is possible if the government does not put everything on your side "so there is no excuse when you leave the car at home."

European Car Free Day.

The week of 16 to 22 September is celebrated in Europe, under the slogan "Clean Air for All", the Sustainable Mobility Week, which concludes with the celebration on September 22, the Car Free Day.
From Young Socialists want our commitment to the Environment and Combating Climate Change is evident every day, so we support this initiative and encourage all citizens to participate in events organized in their cities and towns.
With the Car Free Day aims to promote sustainable urban mobility, promote public transport and raise public awareness of the need to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and particulates into the atmosphere, and noise pollution, especially in urban environments.
Socialists Young people know that one of the main causes of climate change is transportation, but we are also aware that if each of us did a little effort to change our habits when it comes to move around our towns and cities, we are doing a great contribution in the fight to reduce the emission of gases into the atmosphere.
