The Cabildo Guilds Higher Archena year has made a campaign to collect food for the underprivileged called Solidarity Pantry, which this year has reached its fourth edition.
From 26 November to 14 December, the City Council has opened its headquarters to receive all kinds of staples, with the 12 members of the same guilds and own and starting Cabildo who made the most important contribution, as each Guild donated the sum of 200 euros for the purchase of selected foods defendants at the time.
The campaign has also led to the level of schools, businesses and shops, as well as individuals who have also been able to bring their bags at certain times.
The result has been getting about 9,000 kilos of food, all of it of the highest need (milk, pasta, oil, flour, biscuits, beans, chickpeas, rice, etc.).
All this food has been donated by the City Council of Guilds Higher Archena Caritas, which will be responsible for getting it to the people in need of Marchena and Ricote Valley.
From the Superior council of guilds is to acknowledge the assistance of all those whose generosity made possible thing, starting with the Brotherhoods own it, associations, companies and businesses, schools, Ayuntamiento de Marchena, etc.
