| Patricia Fernández read a Manifesto on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women | The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández López, accompanied by the Councilor for Women, María José Guillén, and mayors of the Municipal Government Team and the PSOE, as well as professional technicians from the municipal area of ??Equality and representatives of women's groups, have read the Institutional Manifesto corresponding to the International Day against Gender Violence, in Plaza de España, next to the Town Hall. Since last November 23, the Department of Women has developed a program of events on the occasion of this commemoration and that will last until December 1 with a technical conference on awareness and prevention of violence against women. The Mayor has referred, in her reading, that "every day of the year should be November 25, since sexist violence makes its way relentlessly.

Eliminating it from our lives and protecting the victims is not an option, it is an obligation of the whole society ". He also highlighted during the reading that "educating in childhood, from the earliest ages, in a culture focused on the peaceful resolution of conflicts, emotional education, fostering empathy and developing a balanced self-esteem, are principles that favor the disappearance of gender prejudices that develop at a very early age ". The first municipal councilor has subsequently requested a minute of silence for the murdered women, due to gender violence, so far this year.
