The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'Satagana II', an investigation aimed at clarifying an altercation with firearms in La Algaida-Archena, in which two people were injured, which has culminated with the identification, location and detention of the seven alleged perpetrators of the criminal acts investigated.

The proceedings began last Thursday, February 13, when the Civil Guard detected the commission of a fight with firearms in the archenera district of La Algaida, from which two people were injured by the shooting and aggressions.

From the first investigations carried out by the Benemérita it was found that it was an altercation between clans faced for several years.

Initially there was a discussion in a neighborhood of Archena between several members of the same family with one member of the other.

During the course of this first discussion, it seems that there was a breakage of some residents' vehicles, which caused that, after hastily leaving the area with the intention of taking refuge in La Algaida, he was persecuted by members of the other clan, which they arrived in several vehicles to the archenera district and closed the neighborhood with them to avoid their escape.

In this place a new discussion began, where around 40 people of all sexes and different ages who carried blunt objects and tools intervened.

The quarrel culminated in a series of shots with firearms from which two of those involved in the quarrel, belonging to the same family, were injured.

There was also damage to one of the vehicles involved when receiving several impacts from the projectiles.

In addition to the gunshot wounds, one of those involved suffered injuries to various parts of his body from the blows he allegedly received during the fight, once he would flee.

The two wounded by a firearm were taken to a hospital in the Murcian capital, where they were treated for the injuries, both with an entry and exit hole for the projectile in the arm.

When the events were taking place, several patrols of the Civil Guard and the Local Police came to the scene, which led to the dissolution of the altercation and its participants fleeing and hiding to avoid possible reprisals from the other clan involved, as well as The police action.

Cash of the Benemérita, specialized in Judicial Police, took the reins of the investigation, which began with the practice of exhaustive technical-ocular inspections and various procedures, with the purpose of collecting all possible evidence to clarify the facts, which allowed to recover several bullet casings and various stage projectiles and damaged vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, the Civil Guard identified the seven men who were allegedly after the authorship of the criminal acts investigated and, then, established a strong search device, which has culminated in the last days with its location and detention as alleged perpetrators of attempted homicide crimes and injuries.

In addition, one of them is credited with the alleged authorship of the crime of illicit possession of weapons.

Some of those arrested were already investigated during the month of December, on the occasion of altercation with firearms of the same caliber that took place in Archena in October 2019.
