The municipal plenary of the City of Archena has approved this morning (by majority of the three groups less against VOX) in its ordinary session a joint motion of the PP and PSOE against Gender Violence and on the occasion of the last commemoration of 25-N.

Among other agreements, the motion includes strengthening and putting from the City Council the measures contained in the State Pact regarding gender violence within the framework of its powers, as well as its follow-up;

maintain a firm commitment to gender equality, women's rights and prioritize these issues;

from the National Government, awareness campaigns for the equality of men and women in the media and social networks are carried out;

Likewise, a campaign on gender violence is being carried out from the City Council in order to make this serious problem visible, and to raise awareness among the population in action and prevention on this issue;

and ensure that there are adequate financial resources for the application of instruments to combat all forms of violence, especially violence against women, among the most important agreements that constitute the motion passed.
