The Socialist classify the Government Team of the PP of Archena as "fresh", with its mayor, Patricia Fernández, at the head and denounce the double standard with which they act after presenting, this Friday, an event destined to raise funds for the victims of the DANA in the municipality despite the fact that, in the last plenary session held two weeks ago, they rejected a motion to allocate part of the 2019 Contingency Fund (generally used to cover unforeseen events or extraordinary situations such as the storms of last September) to help those affected by the municipality.
In that plenary on September 27, the Archean socialists encountered a non-resounding PP from the motion they presented to offer economic solutions from the town hall to their neighbors, in addition to urging the Regional Government, López Miras, to act immediately to create a program to restore basic infrastructure and services.
For the spokesman of the PSOE in Archena, Gonzalo Caracena, "they have made it clear that they do not want to allocate money to which we have already contributed all the residents of Archena, with our taxes, to use it in extraordinary situations like the one experienced this September, but that they ask citizens to collaborate for solidarity while they spend that money on other things. "
To which he adds that "what we really want with this complaint is that citizens open their eyes and see how to manage this opportunistic, exploited and unscrupulous Government Team."
In contrast to this denunciation to the PP, the Socialists also want to highlight and congratulate the predisposition of the collaborating companies that have wanted to participate in that event to put their grain of sand and help the families that have suffered the ravages of the storm.
