The City Council of Archena approves to request the declaration of Catastrophic Zone for the municipality for the last rains (14/09/2019)

The City Council of Archena has unanimously approved the 4 municipal groups and at the proposal of Mayor Patricia Fernández, in an urgent and extraordinary plenary session, which was held this morning, request the Government of the Nation the declaration of Catastrophic Zone for the municipality and thus being able to receive subsidies and grants to homes and properties affected by the heavy rains translated in Gota Fría in recent days.

In addition, he explained in the same plenary session that from Monday will open an Office of Information and Assistance to the Damnified, which will be located in the Youth Space, and in the morning and afternoon, from Monday to Friday, where they will attend so many requests for help, for homes and lands affected by this last great flood, reach these dependencies.

The Mayor said after the plenary session that almost 100 homes were flooded.

Finally, he publicly thanked Caritas, Balneario de Archena, private companies for their selfless collaboration in the efforts to help those affected these days.
