The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports is finalizing the construction of the roof on the sports track of the CEIP Emilio Candel de Archena, in which about 90,000 euros are invested, and which will be completed during the month of January.
The actions consist of the execution of a galvanized steel structure to cover the sports track, which has dimensions of 35.3 meters by 20.4 meters.
The track has a rectangular configuration with an area of ​​836 square meters and is being built in isolation on the school plot, which is located outside other courts and the school playground.
The projected building consists of a gable roof without enclosure and a single floor with a height of 7 meters.
The general director of Educational Centers, Remedios Lajara, explained that "this is an action that improves the facilities of the educational center and will expand the shadow area, one of the priority objectives in infrastructure of this Ministry, to combat the high temperatures and protect from the rain ".
The Ministry invests around 20 million euros in infrastructure this year with the aim of having more comfortable schools and institutes for student learning and teacher education.
