The Municipal Board of Archena has approved at its weekly meeting the request to the Autonomous Community for the municipality to adhere to the ARRU Housing Rehabilitation Plan.
The ARRU (Urban Regeneration and Urban Redevelopment Aid) Plan is the delimitation of an area of ​​regeneration and urban renewal that aims to finance the joint implementation of rehabilitation works in buildings and housing, urbanization or redevelopment of public spaces and , as the case may be, of building to replace demolished buildings within areas of action previously delimited.
Its purpose is to improve the residential fabrics, and to functionally recover historic settlements, urban centers, degraded neighborhoods and rural centers.
This is the previous step in the process to be able to sign a joint agreement between the Regional Government, the State and the Municipal of Archena and in this way obtain the pertinent aids so that the citizen who needs it and meets the necessary requirements can fix his current home of residence.
The legal framework is the Urban Regeneration and Renewal Promotion Program included in the Housing Plan 2013-2016.
It can already be anticipated that this plan will be able to accommodate the residents of the whole urban area of ​​Archena.
