32 entrepreneurs from Archena give shape to their business projects with the UCAM (06/07/2018)

Many of these students are already entrepreneurs, who want to give a boost to their business and others, attend this course of female entrepreneurship to analyze its viability and take the first steps.

In the first half of 2018, 96 companies led by women have been created, according to data collected by the Single Business Window of the Murcia Chamber of Commerce.

One sector, the feminine, to which the course organized by the International Chair Women, Business and Sports of the Catholic University of Murcia, the Incyde Foundation, the Technological Institute of Murcia (ITM) of the UCAM and the City of Archena is intended.

In the course 'EmFemenino: Feminine Entrepreneurship in emerging economic sectors and new market opportunities', 32 female students participate, of which 18 are already entrepreneurs and 15 are unemployed.

The objective of this project, according to María Dolores Bolarín, general coordinator of the Women, Business and Sports Chair of the UCAM, and president of ANAEDE (National Association of Women Entrepreneurs, Directors and Executives) is "to favor the creation of employment, equality and encourage entrepreneurship The Chair of Women of the UCAM is developed with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm, but also with a lot of work ".

For the mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, "to carry out this project in the Business Incubator of this town, has been a success of participation, when the Chair of the UCAM proposed us to put it in motion, we do not doubt it".

The Executive Director of the Technological Institute of the UCAM, César Nicolás assures that "the ITM guidelines are, among others, entrepreneurship and job creation." This is the second edition of this course, the previous one, which was held at the UCAM Several companies were born, and at UCAM we work to promote equality, break the glass ceiling and give more opportunities to women. "

The course director Selene Trotta, who is also project director of Incyde, affirms that "with this project we are offering the 32 students the necessary tools and methodology to make their business project come true, we analyze the possibilities of success of these projects and develop an Individual Strategic Plan, so that once the course is finished they can turn it into reality ".
